Breath Alcohol Testing in Milpitas

Readable Breath Alcohol Results in About Two Minutes

Our Milpitas lab provides prompt, confidential breath alcohol testing using state-of-the-art technology. Certified collectors conduct each test efficiently, with readable results typically available in about two minutes. Walk-ins are welcome, and same-day appointments are available.

A breath alcohol test uses a breath sample to estimate blood alcohol concentration (BAC), the amount of alcohol in a person’s system. The process is non-invasive and produces a result quickly. For more than 10 years, we’ve provided drug, alcohol, and DNA testing services for individuals and organizations.

Request a same-day appointment or call (408) 335-6272 to ask about walk-in availability.

Certified Technicians & Federally-Approved Lifeloc Equipment

Our certified Breath Alcohol Technicians are also Certified Lifeloc Operator and Calibration Technicians. They guide each person through the test, operate the equipment, and document the procedure correctly.

We use the federally-approved Lifeloc Phoenix 6.0, a portable Evidential Breath Testing Device (EBT) that measures alcohol in a breath sample and generates a readable result. We can use this equipment at our lab or an employer’s location through our mobile service.

Our testing process includes:

  • Fast turnaround: Breath readings are typically available in about two minutes.
  • Sterile supplies: Each person receives an individually wrapped mouth blow tube.
  • DOT documentation: We provide a three-part breath alcohol testing form for Department of Transportation compliance.
  • Short waits: We strive to keep wait times under five minutes in our clean, inviting facility.
  • Clear pricing: We offer affordable testing without hidden charges.

Who Uses Breath Alcohol Testing in Milpitas?

We serve individuals, small businesses, corporate offices, sports teams, schools, and government agencies. A test may be requested for personal reasons, workplace policy requirements, or compliance with a federally regulated alcohol testing program.

Department of Transportation Testing Programs

Federal alcohol testing rules apply to safety-sensitive work regulated by five Department of Transportation agencies: the Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Railroad Administration, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, and Federal Transit Administration. The United States Coast Guard also regulates safety-sensitive transportation employees, although its alcohol testing program follows separate Coast Guard rules.

DOT procedures are governed by 49 CFR Part 40, which establishes how workplace drug and alcohol tests must be conducted. Depending on the applicable rules and circumstances, testing may be required through a DOT random testing program, based on reasonable suspicion, after an accident, or during the return-to-duty process. These requirements include covered Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration safety-sensitive employees.

We assist employers with creating and implementing drug and alcohol testing policies, managing ongoing programs, and conducting the individual tests those programs require.
