What Is A DNA Origins Test?

A DNA Origins test is a DNA test that lets you discover the estimated percentage of your ancestry from four different population groups: European, Sub-Saharan, African, indigenous American, and East Asian. These tests provide great insights into your family tree and ancestors geographic origins.

How is the test done?

We take 4 mouth swabs - 2 on each side of the cheek. We can also do a paternal Lineage (Y-STR) test, which traces the paternal lineage. We can also do a maternal lineage ancestral origins test.

How long does it take to get results back?

DNA Origins tests can take up to 30 days to get back. The lineage paternal and maternal test can take up to 21 days to receive the results.
