Things You Should Consider Before Getting A DNA Test

We get a lot of questions about DNA Testing and I would like to share some of the big ones with you now.

Which DNA Test is best?

The best type of test is done in a lab with a certified collector who will get you results fast. You can trust Fastest Labs of Webster to provide high quality collections done right the first time with results that can come back in as little as one business day. We are a top and trusted DNA testing lab in our community.

What kinds of DNA testing do you do?

We do a lot of paternity testing. But we also do DNA tests for maternity siblings, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We have prenatal testing available for unborn children. We also do infidelity testing and can help you catch a cheating spouse. Our painless tests use cheek swabs and are over 99.99% accurate.

I’m concerned about my health. Do you see sick people?

NEVER! We do not do medical tests on sick people. We do not test people with Coronavirus, COVID-19, the Flu or people with other sicknesses or ailments. We are clean, safe and reliable!

If you are still concerned call us at (281) 377-8456 and request our at home DNA test kit which can be mailed directly to you.

Can I do the DNA Test myself?

Yes. We offer an informational DNA kit which you can perform in the safety of your home. It comes with priority overnight FEDEX shipping to our lab, many kits you buy off the shelf do not come with overnight shipping or you have to pay the shipping yourself. These kits start as low as $129 and include 3 participants (Mother, Child, Alleged Father) additional children or participants will cost extra.

There is a chance that you could collect the test incorrectly, even with our detailed instructions, which is why we recommend that you come in and have one of our certified collectors perform an in lab test.

What is the difference between a legal and an informational or personal test?

Legal tests are required in many cases, including child support, immigration cases, inheritance, IRS problems, names on birth certificates, contesting wills and many more issues. These tests are certified in front of a notary. Informational and personal tests do not stand up in court. You cannot do a Legal DNA test yourself; it must be done in front of an uninterested third party. You can trust Fastest Labs of Webster to collect all your samples correctly the first time, every time.

Do you offer mobile testing?

Yes! We can come to you. We have performed testing in hospitals, homes, legal offices and other facilities. Fees may apply for time/distance traveled.

How quickly can I get my results?

We can get you results in as little as one day, but extra fees apply. Otherwise you will get results in 2 days for informational tests and 2-3 days for legal tests.

Are DNA Tests 100% accurate?

There is no test that is 100% accurate since the results of every test are determined by several factors. However, you definitely need a result that is very precise and accurate. Our test provides accuracy to 99.99% or better. In the case of paternity with 99.99% accuracy the outcome will indicate that the tested alleged father is the biological father.

How can I tell who is the father of my unborn child?

We can arrange a prenatal test that will test the mother’s blood which contains the DNA of the child. The alleged father needs only a cheek swab. These tests are available for mothers who are at least 5 weeks pregnant.

Can you send the legal test results directly to a judge or my lawyer?

Yes! We will do that for you via FEDEX or email. We have even hand delivered tests on behalf of our clients.

Can you test someone in another state or another country?

Yes, we have certified collectors available within the USA and around the world.

What if I can’t get a sample from the party I want tested?

We can test a variety of contact items for DNA. This includes hair, toothbrushes, baby bottles, clothes, underwear, condoms and many other items.

What if the party I want tested is deceased?

In the case of deceased parties, we can test teeth, blood, bone, hair and contact items.

Do you share my information with other un-involved parties?

NEVER! Your test and your results are 100% confidential and 100% yours. We never place your information in public databases.

Does that DNA paternity test at the drug store really cost under $30 dollars?

No! The price you pay at the drug store is just the price for the test kit. Often you will pay a fee of $139 or more to have the DNA test sent to the lab. You may not get express overnight shipping or you may need to pay for shipping yourself. Our take home paternity kits cost less than the price of their fee!
