Infidelity DNA Testing

SUSPECTED UNFAITHFULNESS

Do you suspect that your spouse or loved one has been unfaithful? Suspected infidelity can create a devastating range of emotions; anger, sadness, confusion, uncertainty and more. This can leave you with many questions, feelings of fear, doubt, and being overwhelmed about the next best step. Infidelity can be difficult to prove, but if you need confirmation of evidence for yourself or others, forensic DNA testing is the best way to do so. An infidelity test can allow you to confirm or deny any suspicions you may have, and get answers to move forward.

At Fastest Labs, we are committed to complete confidentiality, accuracy, and efficiency. We understand that the results of such tests are extremely important, which is why we ensure that they are always accurate, discreet, and reliable. Most of all, we get you your results quickly so that you don't have to waste time agonizing over your suspicions. If you suspect your partner is being unfaithful, our infidelity DNA tests can help you uncover the truth.

WHAT IS AN INFIDELITY DNA TEST?

A DNA infidelity test is a forensic process that produces a DNA profile. Like in all DNA tests, samples are required for creating the DNA profile and then can be compared to a known profile to be excluded.

At Fastest Labs, the infidelity DNA testing process is carried out as follows:

  • You provide us with a bodily fluid DNA sample on fabric from your partner or the person you suspect your partner is involved with.
  • If a bodily fluid sample is not available, a DNA sample from a secondary source (hair, nail trimmings, etc.) can be used, but may not be as reliable.
  • You also provide us with a DNA sample to exclude. Typically, this can be your own DNA sample or the sample of others who may have produced the original bodily fluid sample.
  • Our certified collectors quickly and discreetly analyze the provided DNA samples, ensuring complete accuracy throughout the process.

TYPES OF INFIDELITY TESTS AND HOW IT WORKS

DNA Standard Detection Test: The detection test examines a biological sample to determine whether it contains female or male DNA. Often, the lab will find a mixed DNA profile, meaning that the sample contains DNA material from more than one donor.

Y Chromosome Detection Test: The Y chromosome test examines the biological sample, only searching for male DNA that may be present in the sample. YSTR profiles are identical in males of the same paternal lineage so it may be difficult to distinguish the male DNA from those of other male biological relatives (brothers, fathers, grandfathers, uncles or even male cousins).

DNA Comparison Test: The DNA comparison test is a two-step process. First, the item submitted for a DNA Detection Test is processed. If/when a DNA profile(s) is extracted from the item, we compare the resulting DNA profile to the sample you submit via a buccal swab.

A typical example is, you suspect someone being unfaithful, you can submit an item such as an undergarment for forensic analysis. We would then test it for the presence of DNA (e.g., semen or vaginal fluids). Next, we compare this to the known donor’s DNA profile (e.g., your own from a cheek swab). The comparison result will either exclude or establish a DNA match to the known donor sample.

SOURCES OF DNA SAMPLES FOR TESTING

There are many sources that can be used for infidelity DNA testing, and some are more reliable than others. You may have access to samples and care should be taken for storage and transport to our facility. All samples should be stored in a paper envelope or paper bag to prohibit bacterial growth that could break down and degrade any DNA present. We always suggest calling our office, to discuss the samples you have to be sure it is suitable for testing, storage, and the viability of DNA extraction.

Sources can include:

  • Undergarments
  • Bed sheet swatches
  • Articles of clothing
  • Condoms
  • Novelty Items
  • Toothbrush
  • Cigarette ends
  • Blood, hair, etc.
